Servants Mission was founded by Alexander and Seth Rodriguez, two brothers raised alongside foster siblings with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They built the agency they wished their family had.
Why we exist
A full life reaches beyond any one agency's walls. We help people build connections, skills, and friendships that are truly their own.
Alexander and Seth Rodriguez were raised in a home that included foster siblings with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Support wasn't an abstraction in their house. It was the rhythm of daily life, and they saw early how much the right people, showing up consistently, could change a person's world.
They also saw the gaps: the turnover, the rotating faces, the plans that looked fine on paper but fell apart in practice. They came away with a conviction that has shaped everything since: support for adults with should be steady, person-centered, and built for the long term.
Servants Mission is the agency they wished their family had, and one belief sits at its center: a full life is built beyond our four walls.
So we measure our work by the life a person builds beyond us. We help the people we support find their own hobbies, friendships, and natural support systems, and we work toward independence and self-determination at the highest level each person can sustain, with steady support alongside them every step of the way.
We reject the model where someone's entire social world orbits their provider. Our aim is the opposite: to open doors into the wider community, coach the skills that keep those doors open, and help build a life that is fuller, more connected, and more the person's own.

What we believe
Dignity first
Self-direction for every person we serve. Their goals lead; we follow and support.
Beyond our four walls
We build community connections and natural supports, never a life that depends on our agency.
Independence
Self-determination at the highest sustainable level, with support filling only the gaps that remain.
